The Feedback Edge 360 appraisal provides total confidentiality to both user and raters. All rater comments and ratings are stored securely then entered into the user’s final report with total confidentiality. Further, the user is not informed as to who did and did not complete their report.

Confidentiality is critical to a successful report for both the individual and the organization. Secure and healthy leaders have a greater commitment to growth toward their authentic self than defending an image of who they want people to believe they are. “You’re Fired!”

We had an individual manager who after reading his 360 appraisal headed straight to the conference phone room to call and fire his administrative assistant. Evidently he interpreted a comment in his 360 survey as belonging to this poor admin, even though it had no individual mark on it. The guy certainly did not understand that feedback is a gift, nor did he understand that by responding as he did he was effectively closing down a feedback rich culture for his company. Soon after hearing of his action, a number of clients looked him up to challenge him for his negative and unhealthy response to the 360 degree feedback. He did go on to call his administrative assistant to attempt to “rehire” her. Needless to say the man had no business taking a 360, and we suggest had no business being in a leadership role.
